Awesome Turnout and Great Fun at the DSVC's Second Annual Field Day

NOV 13 2010 – If you missed the Second Annual Field Day, you missed out. After a week of sketchy weather and some questionable morning clouds, the sun came out, as did over 30 competitors and some new — and interesting — creative twists to the classic field day events. We witnessed a few trips, falls, refreshingly juvenile delinquency on paper and on the field, as well as an awesome handful of newcomers who took the field and surprised last year's champs by leaping, drawing, hopping and sliding their way ahead onto the winners podium.

And we awarded a Shake Weight.

Thanks to everyone who participated, the spectators who came and laughed and a big congratulations to all the winners of the day:

2nd —  Matt Bryant, Clampitt Paper Husband

3rd — Jonathan Abowd, Clampitt Paper

Last Place DSVC Relay* and winner of the Shake Weight — Laura Broyles, Fossil
The top 11 composite scores competed in the relay. Laura placed 11th in the final race.

The DSVC would like to extend special thanks to Larry Trahan & Color Dynamics for sponsoring the Field and David Carter, Willie Baronet and Brandon Murphy for coming back to referee a second time around, Adam Fish and Jason Janik for photographing the whole day's spectacles.

We'd also like to thank all the sponsor shops and reps for the time and effort made on each event along with Crystal Bryant from Clampitt Paper and Angela Mondragon from the Richards Group for coordinating the DSVC Relay.

The Second Annual Field Day was a fantastic success, and we look forward to what looks like the start of a great and exciting tradition for years to come. If you're interested in participating in next year's Field Day, contact Frances Yllana, Field Day Chair.

Congrats to all, and check back soon for links to photos and videos from this year's Field Day.

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon.
