Adjunct Graphic Design Instructor

This position is responsible for competency-based education. Designing course assignments and projects with components of multi-media (web and motion), print media, and typography.

Candidate must have the ability to teach a broad range of undergraduate courses; ability to deliver materials in a networked environment; and be conversant in contemporary design theory, education, and practice. Instructors at The Art Institute are expected to enable student exit competencies, deliver learner-centered instruction, encourages student success, manage the classroom environment and relate industry experience to learning

Our BFA program offers day & evening classes.

Position Specifications:

• MFA or M.A.in Graphic Design
• Three years of teaching and professional experience in the related program field.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including group dynamics, human relations and sensitivity.
• Strong problem-resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills.
• An understanding of student development issues in post-secondary education.
• High professional standards and an attitude of customer service.
