Graphics Artist

YPO currently has an opening for a Graphics Artist in our Marketing and Communications department located in our Las Colinas, Texas office.  This position is responsible for fulfilling day-to-day requests for online and print design projects under supervision of the Manager, Website Design, and work in conjunction with other members of the Marketing and Communications team, and across the organization, being primarily responsible for the production and implementation of design layouts and templates for YPO’s internal and external websites.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Implement new pages and design elements to the private, members-only website, ensuring that all meet the established brand and design standards
• Regularly update and maintain public website, including text, graphics, forms, audio and video
• Implement designs in accordance with graphics style guide, including typography, color selection, branding and overall consistency
• Ensure brand integrity for all communications, with a special understanding of distinction between public content vs. private content
• Support marketing and communications team in other projects as needed, including e-newsletters, e-mail templates, presentation design (e.g., PPT), PDFs, brochures, marketing collateral and general design projects
• Ensure that all projects meet or exceed high standards set by YPO and fit into the organization’s long-term mission, including following proper formats, internal proofing and approval processes

Qualified Candidates will posses:

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, related degree, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash) and HTML/CSS
• Proficiency in WordPress and basic skills in computer design software with a general knowledge of both Mac (Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash) and PC operations with the ability to apply into all channels (e.g., print, online, etc.)
• Experience working with and implementing design style guides in web and print projects
• Ability to create concepts and themes as it relates to YPO-WPO and adapt those concepts so they are applicable to various mediums
• Strong knowledge of design theory principles (e.g., color, typefaces, fonts and layouts), an eye for detail and strong conceptual skills
• Knowledge of all processes involved in print and electronic media and knowledge of the different formats and requirements acceptable to any print or electronic media outlet
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
• Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, organize, and manage a workload of multiple projects in a decentralized environment
• Able to complete jobs in a timely manner and/or on a specified deadline, work as a team member or leader in tandem with others, sharing responsibility of workloads, quality control
• Commitment to learn and increase efficiency, be enthusiastic, creative, and possess a keen eye for detail and design trends
• Ability to thrive in a global, multi-cultural, business-focused membership organization
