DSVC Cancellation Policies
The DSVC does extensive work on behalf of the participants of our events. Therefore, the following policies regarding refunds and cancellations will be implemented.
Credit Card Refunds:
All credit card purchases will be refunded back to the original credit card that was used for the purchase. Proof of purchase with receipt must be supplied to support any request for refunds or cancellations.
Check Refunds:
All check purchases will be refunded 14 days after the original check has cleared. Check refunds will be processed via mail from the DSVC office.
DSVC Event Refunds:
Any refund/cancellation is subject to a processing fee. Refunds/cancellations are allowed for only the DSVC events as indicated below and shall be given only in the case of immediate family emergencies. Travel-related delays or other such circumstances will not constitute a refund.
DSVC National Student Show and Conference:
A request for a refund/cancellation must be made by email to Paula Ramirez at dsvc@dsvc.org. Emails must be received no later than March 4, 2011 at 5 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST). Any refund/cancellation for this event is subject to a $20 processing fee. Conference registrations are transferable only by the purchaser through an email notice to Paula Ramirez at dsvc@dsvc.org up to 48 hours prior to the first session of the conference. In the case that the DSVC cancels the National Student Show and Conference or a portion of the conference, registrants will be notified and registration fees will be prorated and refunded accordingly. Refunds for the entry fees for the competition portion of this event will not be made.
Working Lunch:
A request for a refund/cancellation must be made by email to Paula Ramirez at dsvc@dsvc.org no later than 7 days prior to the date of the event by 5 p.m. CST of that day. Any refund/cancellation for this event is subject to a $10 processing fee. Registrations are transferable and notice must be given to Paula Ramirez by email at dsvc@dsvc.org. In the event that the DSVC cancels a Working Lunch, all attempts will be made to notify and accommodate all registrants for the next scheduled event. If a registrant is unable to attend the next scheduled event, then a refund will be given accordingly.
The Dallas Show:
Due to the scope of this event, no refunds will be given for The Dallas Show and its related fees. The purchaser may transfer an awards banquet ticket to another who is able to attend. Please notify Paula Ramirez by email at dsvc@dsvc.org of any such transfer at least 12 hours prior to the awards banquet. In the event that the DSVC cancels The Dallas Show, all attempts will be made to notify and accommodate all registrants accordingly with a refund.
DSVC Membership Dues:
Refunds will not be made on membership dues even upon cancellation of memberships. Memberships are non-transferable.
Other DSVC related fees and/or events not mentioned above:
Refunds will not be made.
